Police shoot gangster dead in Nakuru town

A gun-wielding gangster has been shot dead while trying to rob a businessman in Nakuru town today. The gangster was shot dead by Flying Squad officers.

According to those at the scene, the thug had planned together with others to rob the businessman who is also an aspiring MCA in one of the wards in Nakuru.

Speaking after recording a statement with the police, the businessman said that he called the police after sensing that he was being followed.

“I would just say God is good at all times he has saved my life this morning. This fellow was very courageous and am sure he could have killed me because I know him. Thanks to the flying squad for their quick response,” he said.

Other sources say that an employee to the businessman had heard one of the gangsters alerting his accomplices that the businessman had just withdrawn money from the bank and they should wait to ambush him.

The businessman escaped unhurt.
