Police in Rongai sub-county of Nakuru has launched investigations into an incident in which a woman was stabbed to death at Rafiki farm in Soin ward.
Morop sub-locational Assistant chief Susan Kimaiywa confirming the incident stated that
The husband who was “escorting” her wife to a bus terminus near Sun & Shield adjacent to Kabarak stabbed the woman and killed her on the spot over what is feared to be family disputes.
Addressing media the chief said the deceased Eunice Wangari was stabbed with a knife severally after she picked a quarrel with him during the 7:00 AM incident in the morning killing her on the spot.
The administrator added that the husband flew to an unknown destination.
According to an eyewitness, Mary Nyambura, she tried to separate the two but the deceased husband (name withheld) threatened to kill her by wielding the knife towards her.
On Sunday, Soin ward MCA Irene Jebichii who is also Nakuru county Assembly Chief whip called on the security officers in the area to be on high alert over rising cases of insecurity including theft as locals complained of runaway insecurity in the ward.
This comes barely days after another youth was found slain in the area.
