Kabazi ward MCA Dr.Peter Mbae has challenged his colleagues in the county assembly of Nakuru to shun divisive politics and focus on service delivery to the electorates.
In an interview, the vocal Nakuru MCA said politics should not be used to hinder development agenda calling on the elected leaders to ensure unity and quality service delivery to the people.
“We need to change on the way we do our politics and focus on development agenda. We were elected to be servants and that is what we should do” he said.
Dr.Mbae reminded the MCAs that they only have 3 financial years which they should use to ensure service delivery to the people who put them in office.
According to him the focus of any elected leader should be how to improve the livelihood of the electorates.
He also refuted claims that there is misunderstanding between the Nakuru county assembly and the executive.
“We have only 3 financial years and this should be used to ensure service delivery to the people” he added.
His sentiments coming a t a time when the Nakuru County government has invited residents for the Public Participation Forums on Budget 2018/2019 estimates.
The Forms will take place in every ward of the 11 sub counties as from May 23rd to May 25th 2018.
