Nakuru female MCAs push to have CCTVs mounted to avert crime

Instances of crime perpetrators within Nakuru town fleeing without trace maybe something of the past if the female MCAs Caucus move to have CCTV cameras mounted on major streets and roads will succeed.

According to the Nakuru County women MCAs caucus the move follows several instances where crimes are committed within the major towns but the perpetrators go without trace.

The leaders say they are in the process of drafting a bill that will see CCTV cameras mounted on major streets and roads to avert the same.

Nominated MCA Joyce Anyiso from the caucus says the move will help in ensuring that crime perpetrators are traced through the CCTV cameras and brought to book.

“As Nakuru women MCAs caucus we are in the process of coming up with bill that will see CCTV cameras mounted on our roads and major streets. This will help I tracing the perpetrators of criminal activities within the town and ensure justice” she said.

According the Women MCAs caucus, the move will also help reduce crimes within Nakuru Town and environs.
