Nakuru council of elders warn politicians against divisive politics

The council of elders in Nakuru now want politicians to shun decisive sentiments during this electioneering period.

Led by Bishop Peter Njenga, the elders said they know what such sentiments can cost this country hence need for leaders with integrity and respect.

On the various scandals in the country such as NYS and Muranga water project as well the itara dam issue, the elders called on leaders to tell Kenyans the truth about the issues rather than propaganda.

“The issues raised on graft should be addressed but again let the leaders tell the people the truth” he said.

The elders vowed to continue preaching peace ahead of the 2017 general elections saying they will do all they can to achieve that.

They also commended the President for appointing Susan Kihika among the presidential campaign team.
