While he visited the school on Sunday, the first time youthful legislator said he would ensure the students would get their certificates replaced.

“I will ensure that certificates lost in the fire are replaced so that the students do not suffer the consequences of not having papers,” promised Hon. Kuria Kimani.

MP Kuria Kimani also said that he was appalled by the state of the school saying he would make it a priority to come to its aid.

“When I visited the school, I was shocked at the status of the school. Pupils sit as many as 60 in a class. They have off-cuts for desks,” said the MP.

He added that although Orthodox Primary School which is in Elburgon is one of the best performing, it’s status was just unacceptable and a lot needed to be done.

Hon. Kuria Kimani also visited the 25 families at Mastima also in Elburgon who also suffered from a fire break out in their estates leaving them homeless.
