Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has asked leaders in the County to work together for the good of the people.
The Governor said residents were interested in development and service delivery.
“Let us not waste even a single minute, let’s work together to develop our County,” he said.
He pledged to deliver on promises made during campaigns.
“We will work hard to deliver on our promises to ensure major issues raised by residents in the last campaigns do not feature in the next one,” he said.
Governor Kinyanjui was speaking during a thanksgiving ceremony for nominated MCA Rose Gathoni Njoroge at Gilgil Stadium.
Nakuru County Woman Representative Liza Chelule, Gilgil MP Martha Wangari, County Assembly Majority Leader Stanley Karanja and several MCAs from the county attended the event.
The Governor assured Gilgil residents that roads would be rehabilitated under the Boresha Barabara program.
He decried cases of land grabbing and said title deeds would soon be issued to residents.
Governor Kinyanjui also said the County will provide free WiFi and rehabilitate Gilgil park.
“We will also ensure proper planning of Gilgil town,” he said.
He thanked Gilgil voters for electing him and other Jubilee leaders.
Governor Kinyanjui had earlier in the day attended a mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish and thanksgiving service for Ms Njoroge at Sound Revival Centre in Gilgil.
