A section of leaders under the umbrella Friends of William Samoei Ruto Movement have hit out at opposition for coming up with strategies that are aimed deterring DP Ruto from ascending to power.

Addressing a Press conference in Nakuru on Sunday, the leaders drawn from various counties stated that since the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga, there has been move by the Opposition through strategies full with propaganda to deter Ruto from clinching power in 2022.

However they warned the opposition over such moves adding that, “No any amount of demoralization will stop Ruto from descending to power”.

Led by Coordinator Mr.Sunday Oyindo,Huduma Namba (NIMS) registration launch .

According to the group, during the national launch of NIMS, Ruto was engaged representing the President in other duties of the government as his Deputy.

“The opposition is only but trying to re-strategize by coming up with anti-Ruto movement”said Mr.Oyindo.

On whether the Friends of William Samoei Ruto Movement was a sign of rebirth of URP party, the group distanced itself from the same arguing that the formation is only but that of friendship as members of the movement were from different regions as well as different political parties.

The movement also took the opportunity to congratulated the MPs elect for Ugenya and Embakasi in which ODM lost stating that now the writings are on the wall already and that the politics of this nation are changing.

Naivasha East MCA Stanley Karanja who is the immediate former Majority leader in the County Assembly of Nakuru who is also part of the Movement stating the fact that ODM lost in all the two by-elections is a clear indicator to Siaya Senator James Orengo that politics are taking another shape.

“Orengo should now learn from what happened in Ugenya recently as well as Embakasi”said MCA Karanja.

Similar sentiments were echoed by Friends of William Samoei Ruto Movement Secretary General Ms Anne Muniu who said politics of Kenya are changing and that leaders should stop fighting corruption through utterances in funerals.

According to Ms Muniu, too much talk against the DP will not help Kenya in terms of development that Kenyans need at the grass root level.

“The politics of this country are taking a new shape. Those fighting corruption should do so but not witch-hunt others while addressing in funerals”she said.
